AI is now determining my skill set

One of the key skills is raising your profile. Gaining exposure to other people and then influencing others. One of the skills that we teach at Virtual Work Insider is how to build that exposure and influence across distance. I used to frame it around the humans that we need exposure to and to influence. But now with AI, we need to think about how we build our exposure to the AI tools that our companies are using to catalog our skills. - Sacha Connor

OK, so now not only do I have to network with the people of influence in my professional network.

I have to network with the bots.

The agents that are building a profile based on all my activities in the knowledge network and systems, not that unlike social media platforms. From presentations, to meeting minutes and notes, emails and attachments to video messages, IMs and Slack messages, the sum total of my digital business exhaust. And from that, they create the candidate lists for promotions, opportunities, and special projects.

And it's doubly hard to get selected, when you're not on the list.
It's whole new world.
