One of the most important things about asynchronous work is creating the time and space to be able to do it ... Otherwise, it just becomes more overwhelming additional work to do on top of meetings as well.

Have leaders modeling that behavior, using the async docs as well for it to be successful.

I did ‘No meetings Fridays’ too, which also allowed us to work and clear the decks before the weekend, go in not feeling stressed, prepped and organized for the next week.

-------

Start your 2024 with a commitment toward better meeting discipline
Hours waiting to be reclaimed for productive work or however else you choose to use.

Cancel when you can, move tasks to async, shorten when you can't cancel
Use good meeting hygiene
(agenda, objectives, limited numbers, best practices are published everywhere, like healthy eating information)

Small sample from one of the best in the business.
Thanks again Tracy.
