Who walks out of a meeting 5 minutes in after figuring out they don't need to be there? Three cheers for a culture that calls a timeout 5 minutes in for anyone to leave. Most people just sit through it, do other stuff, surf email, etc.

But if I got up early, got ready, burned a work shirt, commuted to the office for the meeting, and THEN find out it's a waste of time (on top of the commute), that's less good.

Spend less time on office days and more time getting meetings right.
