Hard tradeoffs for the ultimate objective of the mission

You have to learn, what's the least you can get by with and have it still work properly because weight is everything in the space business. Energy is everything in the rest of the world. - Jack Nilles

When the value of an ounce of payload is so extreme, especially back then, it really must have helped you to distill what are the important things and really, get to a position where you're comfortable making hard tradeoffs for the ultimate objective of the mission - Jeff Frick

What's the least we can get by with and still accomplish the goal?

It's an MVP in software product launches, but doing more with less, while still accomplishing the goal, is a point-of-view and practice we can all benefit from.

Especially when it comes to energy, water, and physical footprint.

Lessons from the 1960s space program, applied to life in 2000s.
Thanks again Jack, a true pioneer and national treasure
