People don't know where to go for what information - Andreas Hoffbauer

One of the biggest challenges I see is people don't know where to go for what information - Andreas Hoffbauer, PhD

That's kind of a signifier that people know the people inside their groups. But once they leave their groups, it's really hard to access. So I work with organizations on building more connections between teams - Andreas Hoffbauer

When you start to build those bridges, there's a lot more knowledge diffusion. Make sure we're building that communication, those connections between teams - Andreas Hoffbauer

Understanding and leveraging the knowledge inside the proverbial four walls is a challenge.  A potential gold mine if we can better make more information more accessible to more people.

How do you do it? Build cross-group bridges.
Become a document-first organization.
Is there an organizational 'operating manual' for how work get's done, and information get's shared? There should be.

Popping one's head over the cubicle wall to ask a neighbor doesn't work when coworkers and information are spread all around the world.
Going to a well-organized, indexed operating manual first, with information and answers on what to do next, can help dramatically.
