Just because people came, doesn't mean they were engaged - Julie Whelan

People are getting very sophisticated using sensor data in order to truly understand when they do come in, what spaces are they using, not using? There are all sorts of different metrics that are really fruitful and can really be deeply analyzed around how people are using space. - Julie Whelan

A step further, how happy are my people in my space? Engagement surveys to tie that happiness and engagement factor. Just because more people came into the office, it doesn't mean that they were engaged. - Julie Whelan

Measuring badge swipes?
For attendance or utilization?
Neither one a really good choice.

It's 2024, we've moved beyond attendance being a an indicator of contribution, enthusiasm, output, achievement, dedication, loyalty, productivity, engagement, or retention.

It DOES make sense to understand how people are actually using the space you currently have, and start making adjustments.

Julie and team bring the data and the rich experiential context from decades in the industry.
