Sound in particular is different in some ways, Our sense of hearing really is an alarm system, designed to immediately trigger a fight or flight response, changes in the dynamics really catch our attention. These are opportunities for a soundscape, to reduce some of the dynamics. - Evan Benway
We know how power of music and sound can impact or mood, headspace, energy levels, and more. It's hard wired deep in our brains.
Sometimes that works to our detriment, as we don't react well to constant 'fight or flight' stimulus, it can wear us out. Especially if it's the type of sound we can't easily ignore, like human speech.
